Growing up as an Alaskan wild child the forests and ocean were my playground. My connection to nature through hikes in the mountains and adventures on the water provided me peace and calm. My past twenty years of expat city life often left me yearning to recreate this peaceful presence and connection.
I know what it’s like to spend years on the mat not knowing whether my downward dog looks right, my ujjayi breath sounds uplifting, or my monkey mind is normal. And despite practicing consistently, my pushing and striving didn’t help me into the king of poses headstand or that blissful meditative state!
Unfortunately I also know what it is like to feel pain daily as I spent a decade with neck and low back pain.
I’m surrounded by a like-minded community sharing the Yoga journey.
I have tools to calm my body and mind so I can face the inevitable ups and downs of daily life.
I have a strong physical practice where I feel confident on my mat.
I know exactly how far to push and when to back off.
I no longer experience neck or back pain.
I continue to evolve, practicing Yoga as a way of life.

I’ve been practicing Yoga since 2002 and teaching for over a decade. I am a self confessed lover of all that is Yoga.
Combining my previous years as a physical therapist, my experience as a Yoga teacher together with my ongoing devotion to professional development make me highly qualified to guide and support you.
If you engage and commit yourself to this journey you may likely touch your toes but you will definitely reach the sky!
